Product Details:

"The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere" is a 1931 painting by American artist Grant Wood, best known for his work "American Gothic." This artwork depicts the legendary ride of Paul Revere on April 18, 1775, when he warned colonial militia of approaching British forces before the Battles of Lexington and Concord. Inspired by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s 1860 poem "Paul Revere’s Ride," Wood’s painting takes a whimsical, imaginative approach rather than striving for historical accuracy.
