Product Details:

Washington as Captain in the French and Indian War by Junius Brutus Stearns portrays a young George Washington during his early military career. The French and Indian War (1754–1763) was a conflict between the British and the French (with their Native American allies) for control over North America. George Washington, at the time a young officer in the Virginia Regiment, played a pivotal role in the early years of the war. His actions at Fort Necessity (1754) and later as an aide to General Braddock at the Battle of Monongahela (1755) helped shape his military leadership skills.
