Product Details:

U.S. Navy Evening and Dinner Dress Blue Uniform 1967 by Hugh Charles McBarron is an illustration depicting the U.S. Navy Evening and Dinner Dress Blue Uniforms as they appeared in 1967. For male officers, the evening dress uniform featured a short, double-breasted blue jacket with a standing collar adorned with nine gilt buttons on each breast. This design harkens back to the undress jacket introduced in 1802, with gold lace trim on the collar reminiscent of the 1852 uniform order. For female officers, an evening dress uniform was authorized in October 1948 and continued under the 1959 order. The blue-black jacket was Eton-styled, single-breasted with a rounded collar overlapping half-peaked lapels. Grade and corps were indicated on the sleeves with gold lace and embroidery. A crescent-shaped black velvet tiara, featuring an officer's cap device embroidered at the center, was worn as headgear.
