Product Details:

Thanksgiving-Day, November 24, 1864 – United We Stand illustration from Harper’s Weekly is a powerful Civil War-era image symbolizing national unity during a time of deep division. The image was published just after President Abraham Lincoln’s reelection in November 1864 and shortly before the end of the Civil War (which concluded in April 1865). Thanksgiving was proclaimed a national holiday by Lincoln in 1863, and this was the second year it was celebrated nationally.
