Remember the Alamo by Frederick Coffay Yohn depicts the heroic and tragic last stand of the Texian defenders during the Battle of the Alamo, which took place from February 23 to March 6, 1836. This event was a pivotal moment in the Texas Revolution, where a small group of Texian revolutionaries faced overwhelming forces led by Mexican General Antonio López de Santa Anna. The defenders, including legendary figures such as William B. Travis, Davy Crockett, and James Bowie, are shown courageously fighting against the advancing Mexican army. The Battle of the Alamo became a rallying cry for Texian independence. Though the defenders were ultimately defeated, their bravery inspired the Texian forces, who would later triumph at the Battle of San Jacinto with the cry "Remember the Alamo!"
