Product Details:
Paul Revere's Ride by Newell Convers Wyeth is a vivid and dynamic oil painting that captures the intensity of Paul Revere’s legendary midnight ride on April 18, 1775. Wyeth depicts a pivotal moment at the outset of the American Revolution. On the night of April 18-19, 1775, Revere, a Boston silversmith and Patriot, rode from Boston to Lexington to warn colonial militias of approaching British forces. Along with William Dawes and others, he alerted leaders like John Hancock and Samuel Adams, enabling the militia to prepare for the battles of Lexington and Concord—the first military engagements of the war. Revere’s cry of “The Regulars are coming out!” (not “The British are coming,” as myth often claims) galvanized the minutemen, marking a turning point in the push for American independence.
