John Lamb was a key leader in the American fight for independence. A staunch patriot from New York, he commanded the New York Artillery Company in 1775 and played a significant role in the invasion of Canada, particularly in the attack on Quebec in December 1775, where he was wounded and captured. Later, he became a high-ranking officer in the Continental Army and was active in defending West Point.
