General George Washington with Captain Alexander Hamilton at their first meeting – Battle of Trenton on 26th December 1776 in the American Revolutionary War by Alonzo Chappel captures the pivotal moment when George Washington, the commander of the Continental Army, meets Alexander Hamilton, who would go on to become a key aide during the Revolutionary War and later the first Secretary of the Treasury. The scene is set during the Battle of Trenton, a crucial victory for the American forces.
