Product Details:
John Carter, a printer from Providence, Rhode Island, played a significant role in the early history of the United States by printing important documents such as the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Carter's broadsides, which are large, single-sided printed documents, including copies of the Constitution, were widely distributed during the late 18th century to inform the public and promote civic engagement.
