This is a unique reproduction of a Tennessee recruitment broadside. "Freemen of Tennessee--to Arms!" posted on May 17, 1861. Confederate volunteers were inspired with words such as, "Tennessee! Your country calls! Shall we wait until our homes are laid desolate; until sword and rape shall have visited them? NEVER!"
