Thure de Thulstrup's painting The Battle of Shiloh is a dramatic and detailed depiction of one of the major battles of the American Civil War, fought on April 6-7, 1862. The battlefield map is General Buell's depiction of the events of the The Battle of Shiloh. Complete with Union and Rebel positions and detailed event history of the two-day battle. General Don Carlos Buell was a Union Army officer who played a significant role in the Western Theater of the American Civil War.
