Product Details:

Battle of Monmouth by Alonzo Chappel is a historical painting capturing one of the most significant battles of the American Revolutionary War, fought on June 28, 1778, in New Jersey. The Battle of Monmouth was notable for the extreme heat under which it took place and for being one of the largest battles of the war. This battle highlighted Washington's leadership and showcased the improved discipline of the American troops, thanks to training at Valley Forge under Baron von Steuben. The Battle of Monmouth ended in a tactical draw, but it was strategically considered a victory for the Continental Army under General George Washington.
