Product Details:
Battle of Golden Hill by Charles MacKubin Lefferts depicts a battle which took place in New York City on January 19, 1770, and s considered one of the first violent clashes between American colonists and British soldiers leading up to the Revolutionary War, preceding even the Boston Massacre. In this confrontation, tensions over the British Quartering Act and the Stamp Act had reached a boiling point, and colonial resistance groups, like the Sons of Liberty, clashed with British soldiers.
