Product Details:

The Battle of Atlanta: Death of General James McPherson by Kurz and Allison captures a pivotal moment during the Battle of Atlanta on July 22, 1864, one of the significant engagements of the American Civil War. The print memorializes the death of Union General James B. McPherson, who was one of the highest-ranking Union officers killed in action during the war. General McPherson is depicted at the center of the composition, falling from his horse after being shot. His figure is highlighted against the backdrop of fierce fighting, with soldiers on both sides engaged in close-quarters combat. Smoke, explosions, and the dense formation of troops add to the sense of urgency and turmoil.
