Product Details:

Baron von Steuben Drilling Washington's Army at Valley Forge by Edwin Austin Abbey is a celebrated depiction of one of the pivotal moments during the American Revolutionary War. The painting illustrates the Prussian military officer Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben, a volunteer who played a key role in transforming the Continental Army into a disciplined and effective fighting force during their harsh winter encampment at Valley Forge in 1777–1778. Von Steuben is shown instructing troops in European-style drills, instilling discipline and professionalism, which were crucial in turning the tide of the war.
