Product Details:

Ambrose Everett Burnside by Alonzo Chappel captures the Union general known for his distinctive facial hair (which led to the term "sideburns") and his service during the American Civil War. Burnside commanded troops in several major battles, including the Battle of Fredericksburg (1862), where his leadership was criticized for poor tactical decisions that led to heavy Union losses. Despite his failures at Fredericksburg and Petersburg, Burnside was respected for his personal bravery and devotion to duty. After the war, he served as Governor of Rhode Island and later as a U.S. Senator.
